The Queensland Government has announced a snap lockdown beginning 6 pm Tuesday 29th June until the planned ending of the lockdown at 6 pm Friday. The government will make further announcements if there are to be any extensions.
For the church community, this means that the parish office is closed during that time, ordinary masses are suspended, and only emergency ministry is available.
OTHER RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM:
- Funerals will be capped to 20 people.
- Weddings can only have 10 people, including the celebrant and the couple.
- all places of worship must remain closed except for funerals and weddings with the above limitations observed.
