Christeen Harth- Rest in Peace
We were deeply saddened and shocked to receive the news that much beloved Surfers Paradise Parish member and parish Music Director, musician and vocalist Christeen Harth has passed away after a sudden health emergency on Saturday, 24th of January, 2026. May Christeen now rest in the peace of her Lord Jesus, whom she served so tirelessly and well in her life.
Christeen was vibrant, energetic, generous with her time, wisdom, and talent, and will be remembered with deep gratitude and love. We will miss her extraordinary talent, generosity of spirit and contribution to the mission of the Kingdom of God in these parts.
Our Prayers go out to her beloved daughter, Danelle, and husband, Jake, and her beloved grandson. Also, our sympathies are with Christeen’s beloved John and his family, Christeen’s extended family, and all parishioners and friends who have been blessed by Christeen’s love and devotion.
Christeen was an absolute dynamo of activity, practical vision and participation, and exceedingly generous and involved in so much of parish life that we hardly know how to express our eternal gratitude for her life, as well as a profound sense of sorrow and loss.
Please hold your loved ones close. Let us keep each other in our prayers.
May Christeen now be reunited with her beloved husband Barry, and all her departed loved ones and friends who have gone before us. May she rest in peace. Amen.
