Readings for Sunday, 5 January 2025 - The Epiphany of the Lord.Year A FIRST READING- Isaiah 60:1-6 Psalm 72:1-2, 7-8, 10-11, 12-13. "Lord, every nation on earth will adore you." SECOND READING- Col 3:12-21 or 3:12-17 (new) GOSPEL ACCLAMATION (Matthew 2:2). Alleluia, alleluia! We have seen his star in the East; and have come to adore the Lord. GOSPEL- Matthew 2:1-12

"And there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen in the east until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy." [Matthew 2:9-10].
